Technical Lead

Essential Skills & Experience (key competencies)
• Experience
o B.E. /B.Tech. (in any stream) from IIT/ IISc or equivalent university.
o 5 – 8 years of experience in the IT industry.
o Exposure to telecom applications and COTS products especially in network management area highly desirable.
• Skills
o Telcordia, ESRI (Arc GIS, Arc Desktop & Arc Schematics), C Sharp, .Net, Microsoft IIS, Oracle, Oracle Spatial, Oracle OLS
o 5 years’ experience in developing GIS products
o Good knowledge of Telcordia and ESRI products(Arc GIS, Arc Desktop & Arc Schematics), used in conjunction with Access Networks.
o Strong technical expertise in enterprise technologies like C sharp and .Net
o Strong technical expertise in XML, IIS webservices
o Practical experience in large scale database deployments using Oracle Spatial and OLS.
o Good Experience on ESRI and Telcordia API’s
o Experience in AGILE methodology of development
o Exposure to open source projects/tools.
o Experience in product development environments and knowledge of tools such as Subversion etc.
o Adopt new and emerging technologies to provide solutions to client needs
o Ability to technically initiate, lead, motivate and mentor a team
o At least 5+ years of experience in programming in ESRI or Telcordia products
o Must have advanced level knowledge and hands on experience of the language and associated aspects
o Good knowledge of algorithms & data structures.
o Excellent programming and debugging skills
o Experience in developing server side solutions using component frameworks
o Experience in developing scalable web based applications
o Ability to quickly gather requirements, explore multiple approaches and suggest optimal solutions
o Experience of independently designing and delivering subsystems of a larger solution
o Experience in leading teams
o Experience in product development environments and knowledge of tools such as Subversion etc is a plus.
o Must have a strong interest in learning new skills/technologies and curiosity to explore various technologies and solution approaches.
o Proven analytical & problem solving skills
o Good communication skills and a team player
o Enhance efficiency of dev/test/release process - develop tools, frameworks as required.
o Experience in use of continuous integration and automated code quality tools like CheckStyle, Nunit etc.
