Objective
The Network Capacity Planner is responsible to ensure continuous network performance by tracking, planning, forecasting and reporting the capacity requirements for an International IP Network. This includes project managing, co-ordinating and documenting all upgrades within the Network Planning and Delivery team.
Main Responsibilities:
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and capacity needs.
• Plan the capacity on network based on the business growth and new product introductions
• Ensure optimal usage of network and system investment.
• Schedule, co-ordinate and drive network capacity upgrades in a timely fashion.
• Perform operational impact assessments of capacity for residential and B2B customer portfolio upgrades and new initiatives.
• Project manage and co-ordinate internal and 3rd party deliveries.
• Supplier relationship management
• Define requirements for network capacity planning and reporting and cost model.
• Support yearly budget submissions and monthly financial reporting.
• Contribute to the mergers and acquisitions process.
Knowledge, Skills & experience:
• Industry experience in carrier market for at least 5 years
• Strong communications/relationship management skills of 5 years
• Financial/ Business case skills
• 3 years of experience in capacity planning discipline
• Computer skills (Visio, MySQL and MS Office products with advanced skill level of excel including VB scripting)
• Familiar with network tools (Wandl, Cacti etc)
• Coordination and management of internal and 3rd party deliveries
• In-depth and insight knowledge of the service provider and carrier market
• Product management experience in the Telecom Market specifically related to leased services
• Team player with good time management skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
